Hetta and Enontekiö: activities, tours and guides

What is sold in Hetta comes almost entirely from one kennel, booked on its own website rather than on the big booking platforms.

Much of what is sold in Hetta, in Enontekiö, comes from Hetta Huskies. Besides its husky tours it runs snowmobile safaris, aurora evenings, snowshoe tours and a visit to a local reindeer herding farm with lunch in a kota, and it sells them on its own website rather than through the booking platforms. The one tour those platforms list under Enontekiö is a snowmobile tour that starts in Kilpisjärvi.

The husky day tours in a row

The kennel publishes its day tours with a distance and a price for each. The taster is a two-kilometre loop for 60 euros per adult sharing a sleigh; the six-kilometre Silent Landscapes tour costs 95, the twelve-kilometre Frozen Lakes tour 160 and the twenty-kilometre Magic of Winter tour 205. Each has a child fare, and a sleigh to yourself, or one a guide drives, costs more on every rung.1

The evenings under the aurora, by dogsled, snowmobile or heated sleigh, are compared in northern lights in Hetta, and the daytime snowmobile tours in snowmobile safaris in Enontekiö.

Two other companies publish their own prices. Näkkälä Eräpalvelut runs snowmobile safaris and ice fishing from Hetta, and Vilu Arctic Experience sells a reindeer farm visit, ice fishing, aurora nights and a private Santa visit in the forest.
