Ivalo: activities, tours and guides

Ivalo is the village by Finland's northernmost airport, and several of its winter outings follow the frozen Ivalo River out onto Lake Inari.

Ivalo is the closest village to Ivalo Airport, Finland’s northernmost, about ten minutes away by car; Saariselkä is about 25 minutes and Inari village about 50.1 Several of the tours below follow the frozen Ivalo River onto Lake Inari.

One company, Ivalo Safaris, sells some of the same tours on two booking platforms at different prices, so the guides show both where that happens and you can compare them on your date.

Husky sled safaris, reindeer, snowmobiles, the northern lights and ice fishing are all sold here, and so are two private Santa visits. The sled safaris and Santa are not on the booking platforms, only on the farms’ own websites, so the guides below point to those.
