Utsjoki: activities, tours and guides

Almost everything sold in Utsjoki on the booking platforms comes from one local company that collects you from your accommodation.

Travel Utsjoki, a local company, sells nearly every outing listed in the village: an aurora evening, a short reindeer farm visit, snowshoeing on the tundra, a village tour, easy nature walks and a longer guided hike. On the aurora evening its guide collects you from accommodation up to ten kilometres from the village and drives to dark places within half an hour, with a hot drink and extra jackets and headlamps to borrow.1

The one exception on the platforms is a private trip for up to four people in a traditional riverboat on the Utsjoki river, sold by Arctic Wild River. Off the platforms, Holiday Village Valle sells husky, snowmobile, ice-fishing, reindeer and aurora outings at prices it prints itself, and Hotel Guossi in Karigasniemi sells ice fishing and an aurora trip, so the guides below compare them side by side.
